Process for Claiming of Unclaimed Deposit Accounts

If the customer wants to activate and continue operations in the account or wish to close the account and claim the funds; customer should mention the request in the Claim Form and submit the Claim Form along with KYC to the nearest branch. The branch will accept the specific request from the customer and process accordingly after due diligence and KYC compliance.

Common documents required to be submitted along with the Claim Form for processing of unclaimed deposits:

  • Photo Identifications Proof
  • Address Proof
  • PAN
  • Details of account

I. Individual Claim by the customer: –

  • Customer can visit the nearest branch of the bank along with Claim Form and above -mentioned documents. On verification of the same, Bank will make the account operative and remit the unclaimed amount.

II. Claim by the legal heir / nominee: –

  • For claim process, the legal heir/ Nominee (s) can visit the branch and submit the Unclaimed Deposits Claim Form duly filled in and signed, along with valid Identity proof of the claimant(s) and copy of Death Certificate of the account holder and such other documents as may be requested by the Bank.

III. Claim of Non-individuals accounts (Company/Firm /HUF etc.): –

  • For claim of non-individual accounts, the customer needs to submit the Claim Form duly signed by the authorized signatories along with their valid identity and address proofs and such other documents as may be requested by the Bank.
